Chinese GCSE provides an enormous amount of exam practice material for use in class and for use by serious individual learners (those learners with background Chinese and learners of Chinese as a foreign language - it is a book which has a lot more content than most GCSE Revision Guides) and as such will be tremendously supportive with respect to the development of Chinese teaching and learning in this country. There are many inexperienced teachers of Mandarin and this book will support them and give them a good idea of what they need to do to prepare their students for the exam and will save them hours of work preparing their own test texts and questions - hours which they can then more usefully spend developing their lesson plans and thinking about classroom management.
