Guo Quanzhong, was born February 12, 1944, in Changuanying Village of Baofeng County in Henan Province. He graduated from the Middle School of the Xian Academy of Art in 1964, and in 1969 he graduated from the Xian Academy of Art.
He has worked at the people's Art Museum in Shaanxi Province, and also served as Assistant Director of the Shaanxi Academy. A member of the Chinese Artists Association, he is designed a First-Class Artist.
Guo's works are cutting and coarse, utilizing bold brush strokes that give them a truly distinctive feeling. They are featured in the permanent collections of a number of prominent art museums.
Guo has participated frequently in exhibitions throughout China. His Thousands of Works' took Second Prize in the 5th National Art show in 1979, his 'Contented a lot' was shown in the 6th National Exhibition in 1984; and 'Story of the Big River' received an Outstanding Award in the National Art Show in 1978, Paintings by Guo have appeared in numerous overseas as well as in China.
