Questions and Answers

Does the price include VAT?: Books in the UK do not attract VAT. However audio materials, including audio cassette, CD and DVD, do attract VAT at the prevailing rate, currently 17.5%. The price shown at the web site is net of VAT. VAT will be added as appropriate when you check out.
What are the charges for packaging, handling and postage?: Cypress Books do not charge customers for packaging or handling. This allows us to bring the best value for our customers. The postage charge is based on the rates from Royal Mail or DHL, whichever is appropriate.
How soon is my order processed?: Our aim is to process all orders by the close of the business on the same day if payment is received in the morning, or by the close of the business on the following working day if payment is received in the afternoon.
What if the book I am seeking for is not listed?: Please contact Cypress Books via phone or email. We will be more than happy to source the book for you.
What if the title I would like to order is out of stock?: If a book you have selected is not in stock at the time of placing your order, we will let you know the expected delivery timescale and provide you with the option of waiting, changing or cancelling your order for a full refund.
How is my order delivered?: Cypress Books uses 2 delivery methods for domestic customers to offer best value. For orders weighing 1kg or less, customers can choose between Royal Mail First Class or First Class Recorded Signed For. For orders weighing over 1kg, Cypress Books delivers via DHL. DHL aims to deliver within 3 working days.

For European and worldwide customers Cypress Books delivers orders via Royal Mail Airmail and Airmail International Signed For. Royal Mail aims to deliver within 3-5 working days.

As the performance of Royal Mail or DHL is beyond our control we are unable to guarantee the delivery time.
Will I receive a VAT invoice?: Books in the UK do not attract VAT. However audio materials, including audio cassette, CD and DVD, attract VAT at the prevailing rate, currently 17.5%, for delivery to a UK address. When the order is delivered, the delivery will also contain an proper itemised invoice, including VAT listings if applicable.
What is payment methods?: You can pay for your order by credit cards or debit cards via Paypal service. You do not have to have a Paypal account to pay for the goods. If you do, you can of course pay from your account. This is perferred payment method. The payment will be received instantly, so we can arrange deliver your goods promptly.

Alternatively you can opt for placing order by email. Cypress Books will contact you to confirm the order and arrange for payment. However currently Cypress Books can not accept card payment over phone, so you will have to either send in a cheque or a bank draft, or pay into Cypress Books account directly. Ordered goods are delivered only after payment has been cleared.
How secured is the online payment system?: You make online payments on Paypal's web site, which uses SSL technology to keep your information safe.

Do you store my credit or debit card details?: Cypress Books does not store any of your information in our database. However the online bookshop does attempt to store a cookie in your own computer, if you security policy allows it. So when you shop with us the next time, the information you entered for delivery and billing will be retrieved to save you time.

What is your return policy?: Cypress Books regrettably does not accept return of ordered goods, unless they are damaged when they are received. If this is the case, please contact Cypress Books within 14 days of receipt of the goods.
What if the books do not arrive in perfect order?: Please contact Cypress Books within 14 days of receipt of the goods for prompt replacement.
Do you store my personal details in your database?: Cypress Books does not store any of your information in our database. As matter of fact, you make payment on Paypal's web site, which is one of the most widely used payment service provider. You do not carry out any direct financial transactions with Cypress Books.
